BIOGRAPHY
Dante Alba

Dante Alba is an American actor and singer-songwriter raised in the State of Mexico. At age 18 came back to the city he was born in, Los Angeles, California, to continue pursuing his dreams of becoming a successful performing artist.

For more than five years, Dante Alba has been writing songs and producing music for his debut album in order to achieve his biggest dream, which is signing a record deal with any of the big three music labels for a singing career.

Dante Alba was a freelance photographer for over five years. He used photography as a tool to getting to know people and a way to sticking around the modeling industry, yet he realized that being a photographer was never his real passion and that it was just an spontaneous momentum that made him get into it so that he could expand his creativity skills.

Growing up in a marginalized suburb made Dante Alba behave the way he does nowadays. In spite of his insecurities and concerns, Dante tried to enjoy his boyhood as much as he could. Besides he has always been considered as someone with a serious personality, he's also someone who can make you laugh. People usually tend to have different perspectives of who is Dante Alba. Many consider him a good person because they think he's considerate, attentive, and a loyal friend. Others think he has been somewhat arrogant for being too straightforward and honest. He have been told to be more humble. Others say he's weird. Some others think him a fool. Someone else told him "you are the best", but "Nobody but you knows who you really are and who you were born to be" - Dante Alba. That's the phrase he stands for, his motto.

During his early childhood years, Dante Alba remember being amazed by TV shows, Music, and Pictures. He would always turn on the TV at the same time each day to watch his favorite singing competition shows (Codigo-Fama, La Academia, American Idol, and The voice), soap operas like Amigos X Siempre and Rebelde, and movies like Richie Rich. Having at home an extensive variety of yearly photos of his family and entire relatives made him wonder about the past. As for music, his biggest influences in Pop music are Lady Gaga (Madonna) and Justin Bieber (Michael Jackson). In the R & B / Soul genre, Whitney Houston and R Kelly are the singers he looks up to for the singing techniques. He grew up listening to American

and Mexican music. During his earlier teenage years in Jr High, he started listening to Reggaeton (Daddy Yankee), Rock (Red Hot Chilly Pepper), and mostly to Latin Pop (Luis Fonsi). When he was in high school he became fascinated in learning the lyrics to his favorite english speaking songs, a hobby he still has today as a way to acquiring the english language. During those days, his love for watching his favorite pop music videos began. By the time he was a senior in high school, he had written his first intent of a song (a love poem inspired by a girl crush). At that time he had the opportunity to choreograph and perform a song he remixed for his group's ceremony in the the school's theatrical stage. During those years he became interested in attending parties where electronic music was played (Justice). His house was full of vinyl records, a dusty console, useless record players, a unusable electric piano, a 1985 boombox, and his oldest brother's guitar. He's been influenced mainly by him who would always turn up the radio and play out loud his favorite albums all the way from Guns & roses, Pearl Jam, and The Ramones, to Villancicos (Holiday music), music from the Andes, classical, and Teenager Bands (Menudo / Timbiriche), just to name a few. His father would constantly project joyfulness while trying to sing classic oldies and boleros (Pedro Infante and Jose Jose) and putting on classical music (Beethoven's Ode to Joy and Vivaldis' Four Seasons). His sister would intermittently introduced him new contemporary pop and latin songs (Barbie Girl and La Vaca) and regularly play her children's music (Mozart and Yo Gabba Gabba). His younger brother would occasionally jam to Rock (The Doors), Alternative (Foo Fighters) and Heavy Metal (Black Sabbath), music learned from our oldest brother, and he surpassed him in learning how to play the guitar and drums. At times, his mother would sing regional songs in the Ranchero and Norteñas genre (Vicente Fernandez and Los Cadetes de Linares) by her sewing machine and give him a few coins to buy illegal Children's music CDs at the farmers market (Complices al Rescate). With that being said, his entire family has contributed and influenced him without any consent to pursuit a music career.

Living away from home for the first time, majoring in Communication Studies during his first semester at the University of Mexico Valley in Aguascalientes, Mexico, made him acquire some knowledge and experience in photography and other areas of broadcast media (radio hosting). Then he realized that being away home while leaving his mother and brother unprotected wasn't worth it and that if studying far away in another state rather than doing it in his hometown would be the only alternative left in Mexico then it would be better to leave his mother and brother alone to continue pursuing his career out of the country in a city with better opportunities.

Dante's family gradually split up for major reasons. His father needed to be working in the US to provide for the household. He was really an important missing figure growing up. Living with his oldest brother's chronic schizophrenia and the responsibility of taking care of his vulnerable mom was something he was very conscious about and he needed to be really careful. Nevertheless, he manages to get by day by day to with this situation. Not having his family complete growing by his side made him realized he was the head of the household at that time and the ones by his side depended on him.

As for his family in Los Angeles, he was very lucky to have the support from his sister and her husband, his father, his younger brother and his cousins. Dante Alba proudly has been working in small jobs during his journey in Los Angeles, such as being an audience member for TV shows, peddling in the streets of Downtown LA, working at Subway and Pizza Hut, and office cleaning. He has auditioned for commercials without any success. Nevertheless, he has been lucky enough to having been worked as a Background Actor for artist of the likes of Demi Lovato, CNCO, Katy Perry, Ximena Xariñana, and being featured on the music videos of Kid Ink's "Promise" (featuring Fetty Wap) and Bon Jovi's "Born Again Tomorrow". He has been taking ESL classes since the beginning, that is six years ago. Lately he's been taking music classes (Voice, Piano, Guitar, and Theory) and scoring "A's" at Santa Monica College. Also, he took private voice lessons for half of a year at Hollywood Academy of Music and Arts. His life in college has not been easy at all. The struggle of learning a new language and getting used to a new culture is something he has been managing to surpass.

Although Dante Alba never felt he fitted in, he actually seems to be a likable guy since people have a tendency to feel attracted to him, but being a photographer was something he really felt he was chase for. He wasn't anymore nobody, but then he was something.

Being a photographer and having acquired some graphic design knowledge has helped him to create the artwork for his very first own LP-Demo, which could lead him to release his Debut Album ironically titled "Nobody But Me" featuring most of the current greatest artists in Pop Music.

After the years of being back to LA and having experienced real hard times, Dante Alba with a lucrative economic vision for a successful career where everyone in the business wins, continues believing, working, and waiting to get a chance to conquer Hollywood as a singer, actor, model, and anything related to the entertainment industry so that he is able to contributing develop awareness on people's minds to better improve our society in order to help make a change in the world.
